Contract awarded for the Rehabilitation and Widening of the M1 Road Malawi LOT 1
On 6 June 2022, the Malawi Roads Authority awarded the contract of the Rehabilitation and Widening of the M1 Road Malawi Project LOT 1 to China Jiangxi International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co Ltd - Jiangxi Transportation Engineering Group Ltd (CJIC-JXTEG JV). The stretch of the Project LOT 1 starts from Kazumu International Airport in Lilongwe and ends at Kasungu in the Central Region, with a total length of 102 km. The Project is financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB).
