On 14th December 2022, the Commencement Ceremony of the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) Student Center Project was held in Palapi City. Vice Chancellor Prof. Otlogetswe Totolo and Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor Mr. Davies, representatives of CJIC Botswana office and the project team attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

Vice Chancellor Totolo said the student center project, which has been put on hold for more than two years due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, was officially launched. The implementation of the project will lay the foundation for the International University of Science and Technology to become a first-class governmental university in Botswana. CJIC is a powerful international contractor with rich experience in the Botswana construction market. It is hoped that CJIC will build a high-quality student center project and deliver it on schedule.

The total construction area of the BIUST Student Center project exceeds 14,000 square meters, including comprehensive functional areas such as student service centers, conference rooms, bookstores, post offices, and restaurants. The contract duration of the project is 20 months.
