President of Kenya Attends the Commencement Ceremony of the Proposed T-Block and I-Block Project for the Technical University of Kenya

President Ruto unveiled the project


On 8th December 2022, President William Ruto of Kenya attended the commencement ceremony of the teaching block and Information block project for the Technical University of Kenya undertaken by the company. Ezekiel Machogu, Minister of Education of Kenya, and Johnson Sakaja, Governor of Nairobi, accompanied by Francis Aduol, Vice Chancellor of the Technical University of Kenya, along with the representative director of the company's office in Kenya and all key staff of the Project attended the commencement ceremony together.


In his speech, President Ruto emphasize that vocational and technical education will open up a new path for the development of Kenyan higher education. The Kenyan government will provide more funds for Kenyan higher education institutions to improve the vocational and technical education and training capabilities of various higher education institutions, helping Kenya become a powerhouse in vocational and technical education in Africa.


At the commencement ceremony site, President Ruto personally operated the excavation equipment, marking the official ground-breaking and commencement of the T-block project of the Technical University of Kenya.


The teaching block and Information Block project for the Technical University of Kenya is located in the urban area of Nairobi. One comprehensive teaching block with two floors underground and 17 floors above the ground, one 7-floor teaching block, the auxiliary building for the university hospital, indoor and outdoor decoration, strong and weak electricity, water supply and drainage, fire protection, elevator installation, landscaping works, etc. will be constructed respectively.
