H.E. Minister of Agriculture attended the taking-over ceremony of China Aided 500 Boreholes Drilling Project in Zimbabwe

On April 21, H.E. Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Resettlement Anxious Masuka attended the handover ceremony of China Aided 500 Boreholes Drilling Project in Zimbabwe. The representatives of Manicaland Provincial Government and of the Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe attended the ceremony.


During the ceremony, H.E. Minister Masuka cut the ribbon, unveiled the nameplate and gave the speech. He said that China Aided 500 Boreholes Drilling Project is an important people’s livelihood project in Zimbabwe which not only provides convenient access to clean water for more than 400 thousands local habitants, but also creates around 1000 jobs during its construction. The project produces a group of talented people on borehole drilling and construction and improves the country’s development in economy, society, health and sanitation, planting and agriculture. 


In his speech, H.E. Minister Masuka highly praised CJIC’s construction capability. He expressed the happiness to witness the delivery for use of 500 boreholes as scheduled and extended the appreciation to CJIC as contractor for its efforts in the construction and maintenance of the project.
