On May 15, the handover and water commissioning ceremony for the Mandroseza Water Treatment Plant Project in Madagascar, constructed by Jiangxi International, was successfully held. Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina attended the ceremony and officiated the ribbon-cutting and plaque unveiling.

Madagascar Prime Minister Christian Ntsay, Minister of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Mioussa Elia Razafindralambo, Minister of Energy and Hydrocarbons Olivier Jean-Baptiste, Minister of Economy and Finance Rindra Hasimbelo Rabarinirinarison, representatives of the World Bank and the project owner attended the event, accompanied by company representatives throughout the ceremony.

In his speech, President Rajoelina highly praised the project achievements and commended the impressive “Jiangxi International Speed.” He fully recognized the company’s efficient project delivery, high-quality construction management, and rapid implementation capability. He noted that the Mandroseza Water Treatment Plant is one of the largest public water treatment projects in the capital region and a key project for improving Antananarivo’s water supply infrastructure. Upon operation, the project will effectively ease water supply pressure in the capital and significantly improve access to safe drinking water.

Since commencement, the project has adopted advanced prefabricated water treatment equipment from China, featuring high installation efficiency, advanced automation, and stable operation. The treated water quality exceeds World Health Organization (WHO) drinking water standards for turbidity indicators. The plant has a daily treatment capacity of 24,000 cubic meters and is expected to serve around 500,000 residents in the capital area, substantially improving local livelihoods and supporting the upgrade of regional water infrastructure.
