On October 31, H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, led a high-level delegation to inspect the Fangyula Affordable Housing Project in Busia County, undertaken by Jiangxi International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd.

Also in attendance were Rt. Hon. Moses Wetang’ula, Speaker of the National Assembly, and Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Minister of Foreign Affairs. The company’s project management team accompanied the delegation throughout the visit.

President Ruto and his delegation toured the model houses and construction site, warmly interacting with the project team and receiving detailed briefings on the project’s progress, design layout, and construction quality.

The President commended Jiangxi International for its high standards and significant progress, noting that the project—scheduled for completion in 2026—will greatly enhance living conditions for local residents and generate thousands of job opportunities for Kenyan youth. He further emphasized that the project stands as a symbol of the strong and growing friendship between Kenya and China.
