October 17^th, 2023, the CPC Secretary and Chairman of CJIC, Mr. Zhang Jian’an paid a visit to His Excellency Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde, Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo at the Prime Minister’s Office, in the company of the Assistant to the President Mr. Wan Guoren and heads of relevant departments of CJIC. 

Prime Minister Lukonde extended a warm welcome to Chairman Zhang Jian’an and his delegation. He said that Congolese government would give out more favorable, open and inclusive policies as a move to encourage Chinese enterprises to bring investment and business to DR Congo. The Prime Minister spoke highly of CJIC’s good performance in the execution of road, building and airport projects in DR Congo, commended the company’s dedication to localization, and expressed expectations that CJIC should continue its exertion of advantages and get further involved in the investment in and construction of infrastructure in DR Congo.

Chairman Zhang Jian’an expressed sincere gratitude to the Congolese government for the continued support and assistance to CJIC. He briefed on the company’s development, project execution and fulfillment of social responsibilities in DR Congo, and expressed honor, as one of the earliest Chinese enterprises to Congo, of participating in the economic and social development of Congo, and confidence in Congo’s future development. He also expressed commitment of CJIC to construct the projects on-hand with high standards, actively explore and promote investment and financing projects, promote the economic and social development of DR Congo, and make more contributions to further cementing the profound friendship between China and DR Congo.
