On April 18, 2025 local time, President Andry Nirina Rajoelina of Madagascar attended the groundbreaking ceremony of Madagascar ABM Municipal Water Pumping Station Project constructed by the company. The Minister of Water and Cleanliness of Madagascar, Vouari Rakutuvelo Manananchoua, and other government officials accompanied him. All the staffs of the Representative Office of the Company in Madagascar and the Project Department attended the opening ceremony.

In his speech, President Rajoelina said that the project is a key initiative of the Malagasy government to improve the domestic water infrastructure and guarantee water security for the population, and will effectively alleviate the problem of insufficient water supply in some areas. “Water conservancy is the foundation of people's livelihoods and the cornerstone of economic development.” Rajoelina emphasized, “The implementation of this project will greatly enhance the country's water resource management capacity, reduce economic losses due to drought or insufficient water supply, and further promote the realization of the country's sustainable development goals.”

At the ceremony site, President Rajoelina personally painted the cement mortar for the start of the project, marking the official groundbreaking of the ABM Municipal Water Pumping Station project in Madagascar.

The project is located in the area around Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. Upon completion, the project will reduce water wastage, optimize the energy efficiency of the water supply system, and increase the water supply capacity from 80,000 cubic meters per day to 120,000 cubic meters per day, which will benefit hundreds of thousands of citizens in the area.
